The Gators lost! It was horrible. They were down fourteen to zero at halftime. The fifteen Auburn fans in our section were annoying. This one lady on our right screamed down our ears until she moved away in the fourth quarter. That was a welcome movement. The Gators came back but eventually their terrible play in the first half was what cost them the game. The final score was 20 to 17.
The best part was going to the Chi Phi house. I got to see a bunch of people that my grandfather knew when he was younger. We had a good time and had a snack while going around the Chi Phi house. It is a really neat place, but there were beer cans and bottles all over the place. That makes me think that perhaps they like beer. That can be forgiven but it was a little messy (At least I think so). Then we went to Dave Davis’s place but the keg was late so we went to watch the Gator Walk. It was fun until the game started. All in all it was fun but it could have been better. At the end of the game I saw a friend of mine, Sam. We didn’t get to talk though. My grandfather and I went home a little disappointed but we weren’t too upset. We got home at 1:20 and I finally fell asleep around 1:45. So I’m a little sleepy today.

Josh,
I am glad that you had a good day with me in Gainesville. I really enjoyed the day with you and showing you about some of the things that I experienced at UF. We met some good people and showed some Chi Phis about the Central Florida delicacy of boiled peanuts. You ananlyzed the game correctly, I think. I always hate to lose, but I always am glad that I went. I’m very glad that we went together and that you had fun too. We Gator Fans all “stick together in all kinds of weather.” I’m sure we will go again.
Love,
Grandpa Gary

Glad to hear that you had a good time. It is always a disappointment when the Gators lose. Hopefully, they will play better next week in Baton Rouge.
