I had an incredible moment this morning. I was the first one up and I went to the kitchen to get breakfast. When I had finished I gave the cat her food and water. Then I heard a noise outside and recognized it as Hannah and Utah barking. I opened the door and went out to the porch. I looked down the road and there was a moose with big honkin’ antler thingees on top of his head. I just stood there and watched as he turned around and walked back down the road. I came back in and Grandpa Jim came out a little later and when I told him his reply was, “I wonder if I let the stallion out if he’d fight the moose and who would win.” Mema asked him why the stallion would attack and Grandpa Jim replied, “The stallion would think that it was threatening his territory and would defend it and his mares.” I was the only one who saw the moose. That fellow was huge. I’ve got to go deal with an amassing army of flies.

Hey Josh,
Wow!! You are having some incredible experiences. I can’t wait to see pictures and hear all about it when you get home. I have enjoyed reading your blog, and your dad showed me Jim’s website. Looks like a beautiful place.

Josh,
Are you sure you weren’t seeing things?! That is quite a story. Moose are big!! I am glad that you have had so many good experiences up there in New Hampshire. We miss you here in good old Ocala. It sounds like you might have a picture opportunity or two on that trip, and I’m looking forward to seeing them.
